As a volunteer, you'll travel between Maine and Boston conversing with passengers along the way.

NARP New England Membership Meeting at UNH on March 14th

The National Association of Railroad Passengers is holding its New England Membership Meeting on Saturday, March 14th from 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Holloway Commons-UNH, 75 Main Street, in Durham, NH.
The principal speaker will be Jim Mathews, the President and CEO of NARP. Among his topics will be the reauthorization of Amtrak. (The House passed legislation today to authorize nearly $8 billion in funding for Amtrak. The bill now goes to the Senate.) Council Members will report on rail happenings across New England. The deadline for discount reservations is this Saturday.
TrainRiders/NE's Chairman Wayne Davis will host the meeting and report on the Downeaster's continued efforts to build the layover facility in the Brunswick freight yard. Click here for more information.
