{jcomments on}Patricia Quinn, NNEPRA Executive Director, reported the following performance statistics:

  • October, 09 ridership was down 7% from October of last year. She reminded us that last year saw high fuel prices and exceptional ridership. This October was 14% ahead of October of 2007.
  • October, 09 revenue was down but .5% when compared to October of last year and was 19% ahead of October of 2007.
  • On Time Performance was 92%!
  • Customer Satisfaction Index was 90% (September)

Ms. Quinn observed that she was “comfortable with the healthy performance” under the current economic conditions.

She addressed the ‘limited express’ concept that had surfaced at the last board meeting by pointing out that it was not a current proposal, but one of several future options that her staff would examine. She had received several letters from New Hampshire interests, including one from the Town of Dover, urging that all New Hampshire stops be maintained.

NNEPRA continues to wait for federal decisions on various grants leading to corridor improvements and expansion to Brunswick. The current continuing resolution for CMAQ funding expires on the 18th of December and will, in all probability, be extended again into 2010.

AND, due to the sold-out status of many of the trains this week, the two consists have 5 and 6 cars through the holiday week!
