Ed Bonney, TrainRiders/NE Board Member, Freeport Train Station Manager and Civic Leader, Passes Away

Ed Bonney, a leader in Freeport’s business and passenger rail communities, passed away recently at the age of 88 after a short illness. He served for many years on the TrainRiders Board of Directors, working tirelessly to integrate the town’s business community with the Downeaster service between Brunswick and Boston.

When passengers are disruptive (in language and excessive boisterousness), an awkward standoff usually ensues. Some offended passengers just grin and bear it while others decide to move. That's when the conductor steps in.
During our interview with conductor Jim Nawrocki, we asked about those offensive behaviors that have no place on trains. Jim uses the three-strike rule, intervening like a Puma! He was quite candid.
