This is the second in a series of interviews with Conductor Jim Nawrocki who worked his last shift on the Downeaster on September 27th. TrainRiders/NE followed Jim as he prepared train #686 for departure from the Brunswick.
The Conductor is in charge of the train, working closely with the Engineer and the Assistant Conductor, to make sure the train ride exceeds passenger expectations. As Jim describes his day, nothing is left to chance.
We'll release another section of our extended interview with Jim next week. You'll likely learn why he is known to some as The Puma!
